GEX / Gamma Exposure

What is GEX? Gamma Exposure measures how much dealers need to buy/sell to stay hedged.
Positive GEX = dealers buy dips & sell rips (range-bound, lower vol).
Negative GEX = dealers amplify moves (trending, higher vol).
The Gamma Wall is the strike with highest gamma — acts as a magnet. The GEX Flip is where gamma switches from positive to negative.
Reading Flow Signals:Vol Ratio > 2x = unusual volume, likely options-driven.
VWAP = fair value — price above VWAP is bullish, below is bearish.
ATR = average daily range — use as guide for stop placement and strike selection.
Why Unusual Activity Matters: When volume is 2x+ the average, someone with conviction (and money) is making a bet.
Combine unusual volume with news catalysts to understand WHY the flow is happening — that's the edge.
How to Use Flow Lab
Step 1: Check GEX — is it positive (range day) or negative (trend day)? Step 2: Scan the options chain — where is unusual volume clustered? Step 3: Check unusual activity — any tickers with 2x+ volume AND a news catalyst? Step 4: Cross-reference with Signal Console — do the confluences align?
This is the same process Chris uses on Trade Echo — dealer edge + news + gamma = high conviction.

US Futures & Pre-Market
Why it matters: ES (S&P futures) and NQ (Nasdaq futures) trade nearly 24 hours. Where they sit at 4 AM tells you where the market is likely to open.
Overnight Playbook
After US Close (4 PM ET): Check ES/NQ futures for continuation or reversal Asia Open (7 PM ET): Watch Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng for risk appetite Europe Open (3 AM ET): FTSE 100 and DAX set the pre-market tone Pre-Market (4 AM ET): ES/NQ + VIX futures = your opening bias
If Asia sold off hard AND Europe confirms the weakness AND futures are red at 8 AM — that's a high-conviction bearish open. The inverse is your bullish setup.
